The former Chelsea forward Ivo Inza has returned to his home club, Real Madrid. The Spaniard, who joined Chelsea in 2018 from Valencia, was sold to the Spanish giants for £57 million.
Inza, 32, spent two years at Stamford Bridge before returning to Valencia in 2020. He made 44 appearances for Chelsea during his time there and scored five goals.
"I'm really happy to be back at Real Madrid," said Inza. "It's been a long time since I played for them and I'm excited to get back into action."
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti praised Inza's professionalism and character, saying he is a valuable addition to the squad.
"Inza is a player with experience and leadership qualities that we need in our team," said Ancelotti. "He will bring a lot of energy and determination to the pitch."
Inza's return to Real Madrid comes as the club looks to strengthen their attack after losing key players like Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale to other clubs. The 32-year-old's move adds depth to the squad and gives Ancelotti another option to choose from when selecting his starting lineup.
With Inza back on board, Real Madrid will continue to compete for the Champions League title and European football's other major trophies.
